The GOP still pushing for amnesty.

Over on Townhall yesterday Linda Chavez wrote a piece saying that if Trump’s immigration plan were put into place, it would cost approximately 1.6 trillion on GDP.

How you ask? Well according to her all those 11 million illegals are providing to the system you see it’s use natives being the drain on the system.

But even if we didn’t need immigrants to build new companies or to innovate, America’s aging population needs them to help support our safety net for the elderly. Even illegal immigrants are helping to keep the Social Security system afloat, contributing $12 billion a year in cash flow to Social Security, which they will never receive back in benefits. Between 1996 and 2011, immigrants overall also contributed $182 billion more to the Medicare Hospital Trust Fund than they receive in benefits — while the native-born are a drain on the program.

See there you have it folks, illegals aren’t drawing one red cent in benefits from the welfare state.

When your done laughing we can move in to the rest of her fallacy.

See according to her those illegals keeping our elderly alive have jobs and homes and such and to kick them out would cause hardship on industries such as construction since those homes would be vacant.

And the jobs lost would cause problems. But let’s look at this using that pesky thing called math.

There are allegedly only 11 million illegals in this country. Let’s say each of them has a job they have to forgo to quit breaking our laws. As of this month the labor participation rate is the lowest since 1977. 62.4%. That equals a little over 94 million people out of the work force.

Does anyone here honestly believe we couldn’t absorb 11 million jobs right now with little to no problem. Hell only 145,000 jobs were made last month. 11 million new openings would be great for those of us legally here.

But let’s be honest they don’t all have jobs, they are suckling at the welfare teat and they have no interest in assimilating to this culture.

Now explain the bad part about them leaving again?

Reid once again proves he still runs the Senate. Gives Vets the Finger.

This time he proves it at the detriment of Veterans throughout this country. Now no one will ever say that the VA is the gold standard of health care. Or even for that matter anything closely resembling anything that we should be affording our veterans but it is what we have until smarter people get rid of the asshats currently in power.

Harry Reid has decided to whip McConnell once again on the VA funding bill. 78 billion dollar, well let’s be honest here, waste of money for what we are going to get for it, was filibustered 50-44. As Reid says at the bottom of the Yahoo News account “Republicans are going to need our (Dem) votes.”

Do they? Do they really? Maybe some of you are new to this. See back in 2010 this bill called the Affordable Care Act was passed with 51 votes. Now how mind you could this happen with this whole 60 vote filibuster thing. Reconciliation, that’s how.

Rules are in place that a simple majority can pass funding bills, as to not have such things as the Government not having funds to do government things. Seems to me that this would be a good place to start that. Or follow The Federalists Ben Domenech’s plan and shut down all other Senate business until the filibuster is broken. Make them tell the public every day why they want to strip Veterans of their benefits so badly.

No recess, no vacations, no other votes, no sleep, nothing until the filibuster is broken.

But lets be honest here. McConnell wants to look like the adult who can “govern”. Although I don’t believe that word means what he thinks it does.

The ultimate goal is to end sequestration on domestic spending. Dems can’t stand to see the DoD get around the caps without welfare doing the same. After all they need more of your money to redistribute.

But VA benefits? That is the hill they are willing to fight and die on? That shouldn’t surprise you. They know how much it means to the GOP so they are willing to pull any dirty trick they need to get what they want.

In a weird way, you gotta respect that kind of devotion. Would be nice to see that for some conservative principals once in a while.

But until McConnell admits he is an absolute failure at life and removes himself like Boehner did we can expect capitulation and everything that Obama wants to pass. But hey, at least we own both houses of Congress now right. Good thing we control the purse strings or there is no telling how much money would get spent.

Whack Job kills people, left rejoices sees new opening for Gun Confiscation.

First off. To the families, friends, and loved ones of those killed in the Umpqua Community College shooting yesterday, the prayers and thoughts of the Handbook go out to you.

As I said about the shooting in Lafayette, LA, nothing prepares you for the news that something like this has happened. To those that knew people killed or injured the pain and anger is something that I am not sure people ever truly get over. A part of someone’s life has been taken by a psycho for no damn reason.

Although in this case it appears there was a reason. One of the most disgusting horrible reasons we have ever seen. The systemic eradication of those who profess a love of Jesus Christ and consider themselves Christians.

Imagine that, being asked to stand and profess your religion. I imagine the first one possibly thought by admitting to being a Christian maybe they were going to be left alone, it turned out to be the exact opposite. Now each person after has to make a choice. Admit their love of Christ and die, or deny him only to be injured, but still live since those who weren’t Christian were shot in the legs.

It took all of zero seconds for this to become politicized. Instead of condemning this monstrous psychopath, the left condemns his tools. In the words of Archie Bunker, “Would it make you feel any better if they was thrown out of windows, little girl?”

Would the left make an instant push to ban windows? No. But guns are hated and reviled by anyone that wants to take away your rights. The last form of protection from tyranny is the armed populace. The left knows this. They desperately want tyranny. It’s what they dream about at night.

So they will use this. They will publicize this. Saying we have “no commonsense gun control” in this country as our crisis loving Asshat in Chief put it.

To stay away from the politics for a while would have been nice. To simply allow these families to grieve, to bury their dead, to take the time to remember them and reflect back on their lives. Instead we have sociopaths who believe in “never letting a crisis go to waste”.

Make no mistake there is a push against Christianity in this country. This is just the most violent aspect of it we have seen so far. Apparently this psycho told people in a message board he was going to do something, and was a member of an anti-religion group on a dating site. Shocking that this asshole couldn’t find a living human being to date him in the real world.

But as you notice I refuse to use his name. After all that is apparently what he wanted. So screw him.

I will leave you with this though. Maybe the families of the fallen can take some small solace in this simple bible verse.

It would appear those who admitted to being a Christian have received the full support of none other than Jesus Christ himself.

Why Rand Paul will be one of the next ones out.

Taking into account the fact that he just suspended fundraising for his POTUS campaign to fundraise for his simultaneous Senate campaign and you start to see the writing on the wall.

Then he comes out and says this.

“Ted has chosen to make this really personal and called people dishonest in leadership and call them names, which really goes against the decorum and also against the rules of the Senate, and as a consequence he can’t get anything done legislatively,”  in response to a question on Fox and Friends.

To be honest I missed this yesterday until late last night and didn’t feel like writing until now. So lets look at what Rand has to say.

“..Called people dishonest, and call them names…” No Rand, he did not call them dishonest, he outright called Mitch McConnell and the rest of the “leadership” liars. He didn’t mince words, he spoke honestly. “…which really goes against decorum and the rules of the Senate…”. Now answer me this. Do you honestly think we the people give a damn about your feelings and your decorum in the Senate?

What rule did he violate? Telling the truth? Being honest? I realize that in politics the entire premise is based on telling people one thing during the campaign and a completely different action when in office, but guess what that is Rand? Lying. That’s right its a lie.

So because the GOP is so pissed that Ted refuses to go along to get along, they refuse to allow him a second to force a roll call vote so people know who is voting for what ON THE RECORD.

See that’s what all this was about. Ted Cruz wanted to force the Senate to record who was going to vote for PP funding to continue and who was strong enough to end it. It would appear that since no one wants that on their name, they decided to violate “decorum” and deny him a second. Where is your fancy decorum now Rand?

Although at least Paul showed up for the vote, that’s more than you can say for Rubio or Grahamnesty.

He then goes on to say this at the end

 Its time somebody takes a stand…and we need to do something different than the democrats, dramatically different”

You mean the stands like Cruz has tried to force? Or the complete diametric difference to Democrats that Cruz stands for and speaks about publicly with no worry of whose feelings get hurt?

Maybe if Paul showed a little more of Cruz’s style and openly spoke the truth about everyone no matter who it pissed off, his poll numbers might be higher than 2.

Shut Down wins the White House

Everywhere I read the last couple days I have been seeing the same thing. McConnell wants to keep the government open to protect his 2016 election class. What an idiot.

Boehner apparently made the statement that Democrats want to keep the government open as much as he does. Do they? Really? Why not make them prove it.

We all know that intelligence is not McConnell or Boehners strong suit. Folding and curling into a ball is their most perfected talent. Reading and understanding politics is definitely not.

Let’s see a couple years ago all we heard was how the Cruz led shutdown was going to destroy the GOP for elections to come, possibly even generations. It would bring back the permanent Dem majority in Congress and the White House would be nothing but a pipe dream.

Well after that 18%ish shutdown, that saw open air monuments barricaded, and the Deadliest Catch guys go to Congress to testify, Boehner and McConnell and the rest of the GOP “leadership” blinked. They gave Obama everything he wanted and then some.

So that election in 2014 must have been a serious drubbing for the GOP, right? Well not exactly. Turns out they expanded their majority in the House. Took 9 seats in the Senate to gain the Majority, and over 300 seats from Federal to local elected positions. We now have 24 States of both Governor and State House GOP rule vs only 7 for the Dems.

The GOP managed to take 68 of the 98 State Legislatures. Math time. That means GOP took over 3/4 of the state legislatures, and just below HALF of all State Governments. Some blow back for shutting down the government I see there.

Some will say that since it was only 16 days it was forgotten by election day. The fact that it was an off year and Obama wasn’t on the ticket hurt the Dems. Maybe, but not that much.

This was a direct result of the shut-down. No in spite of it.

So to whoever takes over Speaker, read history. It is full of all kinds of fun facts that can be learned. Like how people hate the government and want less of it at just about any cost.

Only the House can control the money.

Now I know what I’m about to propose is a bit out there in this day and age, but follow me anyway.

See apparently the Turtle, his democrat allies, and those that have never read or seen the Constitution in the Senate just passed a…. Spending Bill.. one that funds all of Obama’s wet dreams in a 77-19 vote.

Now yesterday we here at the Handbook made a point ol’ Johnny boy about who controls the money. Let us revisit that.

A1S7 states “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.”

See what that says there? All revenue bills must be done in the House of Representatives. I.e. Not the Senate.

I get it someone out there is going to say this is a spending bill though. Honestly believe that this bill says nothing about taxes, or revenue of any kind?

Look I realize that this is how things work now. No one follows the rules laid out in the founding document that proscribes the rules to be followed. However, if we had a Speaker with a set, the response would be. “That’s great. I’m glad the Senate finally found a way to pass something, unfortunately they proposed and passed a bill that can only be proposed in the House. Our bill shall be sent to them soon enough.”

And then stand on that. Do not ever vote on their bill. Ever. The Senate does not get to control funding. Only the House does. This is because the Founders knew the money was the people’s money. Therefore the House of the People should have complete and total control over the money.

But hey it’s worked so well lately ignoring those rules, why start now right?

So now what?

John Boehner is gone. Well soon to be gone. All we have to do now is make sure he doesn’t completely sell us out before he leaves. That he will try is certain, the real question is who takes over for him?

Kevin Mcarthy – CA with a liberty score of 45% F, is Boehner’s hand selected replacement. Well John, I’m sure you and the rest of the surrender caucus in the GOP would love to just move another liberal squishy up to the top chair.

That would destroy everything we have worked for. Getting Boehner to leave could be a watershed moment. One of those times that forces complete change upon those who have no interest in it. It could be the time to force the squishy GOP Congressmen to grow a pair and start fighting for conservative values or find a new line of work. Those should be the only 2 options at this point.

But like I said who takes over for him? So far the only person to throw their name in the ring is Daniel Webster from Florida with a Heritage score of 76. Better than both Mcarthy or Boehner, but is someone who is only 3/4 of the way willing to fight what we want?

Redstate thinks its a trap to have the conservatives put forth a name, they only have veto and kingmaker power Erickson says.  Maybe, but if you can be the veto and you can play the kingmaker then you own all the power.

If the entire Freedom Caucus is going to block vote all or none, then no one can win without their approval and support. That is a whole new ballgame.

Every time a name is brought up someone says that person doesn’t want it because it would be like herding cats in Congress and they have no interest in doing it. Tell me when did not doing it because it was hard become an acceptable excuse?

Life is hard, war is hard, storming Normandy was damn near impossible, but we did it. Reversing the leftist sprint we are on will be hard, who gives a damn. Nothing worth having comes easy as they say.

So if your too scared that you might fail as Speaker, then you know what, we don’t want you anyway. However, if you have a set, are willing to risk failing, not being re-elected, and becoming a driving force to put this country back on track to following the Constitution then go for it.

Success is hard, and controlling the GOP isn’t easy. But look at it this way. You know the moderates will surrender every time a fight comes up. All you have to do is show them they can’t win by going against you and they fold. Seems pretty simple to me.

Oh and just because it’s fun. More and more people are coming out to tell McConnell to get lost as well.

John Boehner is finally going away!

Rejoice in the word all who prayed for this daily. It appears that God is on our side. All it took was some praying on his part and a visit from the Pope for him to realize he was no longer wanted or needed.

Although he might have taken this religious aspect a bit far. False Prophets, John? Really? The Conservative wing of the GOP, also known as the base, didn’t like the fact that you refused to fight for anything while outside groups excited everyone into believing that forcing the Constitution to be followed was possible when everyone in the GOP should know that ship sailed a long time ago.

Well John, here is a message for you, since you didn’t learn it when your minion Cantor was removed. We honestly don’t give a damn how hard it will be. We expect it to be hard. We have been watching leftist philosophy take over this country for the last 100 years. Never one time did you hear their party leaders complain about how hard it was to push their agenda. No, they put the work in to win the fight. You and your asshat friend McConnell surrender before the fight even gets started.

Two years ago you allowed Ted Cruz and Mike Lee to force a government shut down in an attempt to stop Obamacare. 16 days and you caved John. 16 short, miserable, whiny days and you caved. The thing is though, you wanted to cave on day 1. You didn’t want to fight. A total of 18% of the government was shut down. Parts that are called “non-essential”.  What does that tell you, John? It tells me we don’t need those parts. That’s why they are “non-essential”.

Now we have another chance to show the country that they do not need 18% of the government in their life, while stopping the funding to the largest provider of genocide since Hitler. And what is yours and the turtles plan? Fail. Capitulate. Give up. “Govern” is what you and McConnell call it.

Governing is easy John. Read the Constitution. In it there is a blueprint on how the government is required to operate. Follow that and your never wrong. For instance, since you missed this part

Maybe you missed it John, but you ran the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Meaning all money had to go through you. Nothing could be spent without your ok. And still we have Obamacare, PP funding, Amnesty funding, IRS targeting, and a litany list of objections that you have seen fit to allow to stay in operation.

Here is the beautiful part John. All you had to do was read that part, then go down one section and see what the Federal Government is allowed to do. It explicitly spells it out for you. 18 duties, anything else is reserved to the States and to the People, or so says the 10th Amendment.

So here for whoever takes your job, let me go ahead and list them out. A1S8

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

That’s it. Follow that little blue print. A1S8 should be engraved on every member of Congress’s desk. Should be hanging in large letters behind the Speaker. And should have to be recited prior to any speech given in the House or Senate by any elected member. Just to make sure you know your powers, and more importantly, your limitations.

Shutdown theater season is here.

Rejoice all ye who enter. It is the middle of September. That can mean only one thing. Congress has again failed to follow the law and pass a budget and spending bills for the following fiscal year. Which means we get to be treated to a rousing rendition of failure shut down theater.

Now a couple years ago, one Ted Cruz aided by his friend Mike Lee decided that Obamacare was a hill worth dying on, and promptly shut down the federal leviathan. Actually they shutdown 18% of it, but you know.

So to make the people realize how painful life without the nanny state would be POTUS decided to close open air monuments in DC. Stopping WWII vets from visiting.. the WWII memorial. You know the one dedicated to THEM.

Now we were warned that such antics would doom the GOP. Conservatism would die, the world would end, and Dems would have even more people in Congress. Those predictions turned out to be slightly less than accurate.

Instead the GOP took over the Senate, grew the majority in the House and took more Governorships and State Legislatures since the 1920’s.

So now we have once again Ted Cruz, claiming he will do whatever he has to do to make sure that Planned Parenthood is not funded up to and including shutting all 18% down again.

Or is he?

See Ted is a relatively smart man. He realizes there are those out there that believe a large intrusive liberty sucking, soul crushing government is a good thing. So what to do? He is running for a new office if you haven’t heard. Decisions Decisions.

Well since he seems able to get the Freedom Caucus to help him in the House getting a funding bill that removes Planned Parenthood seems plausible. Then comes Harry Reid’s Senate. No it does not belong to Mitch McConnell. Turtles are not allowed to run things.

Dem’s will filibuster anything that doesn’t fund the precious. So reconciliation will be needed. So the question becomes will 51 of the 54 Republicans actually vote for it? Or will McConnell cower before the fight begins and attempt to surrender early? After all he wants nothing to do with fights, shut downs, or conservatism.  He wants to govern.

Now any bill that gets through without PP funding will be vetoed. Fine let it happen. Let Obama shut down the government. Once he does, use the worst parts of every video and make a commercial forcing the American people to see them. Show them what he is shutting down the government to preserve.

Ted Cruz can do his part by obstructing at every turn. If they try to slip in PP funding, well another night of him reading bed time stories to his kids sounds like a great plan. While he’s up there, maybe he can pull the entire Iran bill to read publicly, then the Obamacare bill, and if that doesn’t work, there is always the Tax laws.

The only thing that should stop it would be exhaustion and the fact that reading all that might depress someone enough to do something drastic.

Either way, this can be Cruz’s moment. The base has not forgotten what he did in 2013. They just have a shiny new toy to play with who is louder than everyone else. Revert them back and show them real action, leadership, and a willingness to stick to your principles and watch the polls grow.  Add to that Donald will have to stand by Cruz. Cruz has stuck with him, and him giving in and being willing to fund PP when there is an active fight to stop the funding would be a serious blow to him were he to go with the establishment on that.

On a side note, watching the GOPe collective head explosion would also be pretty damn fun.

If the other 2 Senators in this race are serious, then the 3 of them will get together and force the removal of PP funding, no matter what it takes. Personally a month or so of 18% less government would be great. They say it takes about that long to break a bad habit. Let people see they will survive, life will go on, and in the end they will have more freedom with less government and we might be able to save this damn Shining City on the Hill.
